Over the long week, I had the great opportunity to do a session with this lovely couple. They’re so dorky and cute - makes me feel all warm inside. I couldn’t help but feel a bit jealous of their relationship haha. We had planned to do this shoot last year but never got the time because of school but this year we were determined to get it done.

I decided to shoot on up on Principal’s Road on campus. Some of the leaves started changing colours but it wasn’t nearly what I wanted. But what can you do? Just gotta work with what you got. Even though it wasn’t what I imagined, the pictures still turned really great.

They were a really great couple to work with! For Howard, it was his first time doing a photo shoot like this so he was a bit stiff in the beginning. (So if you ever have clients/models/friends feeling uneasy, you have to break the ice and get them comfortable with you and what you’re doing). But as the shoot went out, Howard became more and more comfortable which help give the pictures a more natural feel.

On the other side of things, Lisa was perfectly comfortable. You might recognize Lisa from pictures on my main website. So she’s pretty used to the way I do things when I shoot so that was an added bonus for making the shoot go a lot smoother.
