ABOUT
The University of Toronto Mississauga hosted the 2020 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Associate (CCAA) Badminton National Championships from March 4-7, 2020. Though relatively new to the OCAA and CCAA, UTM was eager to build on the excellence of its institution in utilizing sport as a platform for engaging talented student-athletes. Having recently hosted both the OCAA West Regional Badminton Championships and OCAA Badminton Provincial Championships in previous years, UTM was be able to put forth an event that lived up to the high standards of both the University of Toronto and the CCAA.

PROCESS

Building on the prior year's success, I wanted to highlight the top athletes from that season. Having a balanced gender showcase was important. Wordmark was provided by the CCAA so it was important to design around it. Using UTM's colour, I created a background that would help focus in on the athletes. This background was carried towards all other design assets including an email banner, player profiles and signage during the event.
